S´Agaró which lies within the boundaries of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Castell-Platja d´Aro is an elegant location with a natural balance between architecture and nature. An oasis with great respect for its beautiful surroundings.
Sant Feliu de Guíxols was originally a fishing village and is located in the Emporda region, in the heart of the Costa Brava. Surrounded by hills covered with pine and cork trees, the town has become an important holiday destination, with a wide variety of facilities. All year round the town has a busy cultural and commercial programme, as well as maintaining the most traditional customs.
S´Agaró is located between the beaches of Sant Pol and Sa Conca, on a hill scattered with rocky, narrow coves. Surrounded by a 2 km promenade which opens up a way between the trees, flowers and cliffs, where visitors can contemplate the different blue tones of the Mediterranean sea. The town has become a meeting point for artists, writers, theatre-folk, spanish and catalan politicians. There is a varied cultural programme with festivals, dinners, balls, local dances, flower battles, and sports and nautical events.
The International Festival of Music which is held every summer has forged a bond between the town and music. The forest of Puig Pinell, one of the green belt areas of the town, has impressive views over the Platja Gran beach and the Sant Antoni de Calonge and Palamós bay. A striking feature is the 60 metre diametre Rosa dels Vents weather vane and the 10 metre high sail sculpture which shows the direction of the wind.
