This is a sports tournament for anyone over the age of 40 who likes to get involved and who personifies the motto “it’s the taking part that counts”. It is open to anyone who regularly practices one of the sports included, wherever they come from or wherever they live. Each competition is divided into different categories based on sex, age and skill level. The sports and games covered are those that are commonly practiced after the age of 40: swimming, tennis, padel, pitch and putt, golf, cycling, gymnastics, dance, dominoes, bridge, bitlles (Catalan skittles), athletics, competitive ballroom dancing, table tennis, petanque, chess and football.

Lloret is promoting Nordic walking through the Lloret Nordic Walking Centre.
This project, which forms part of the Lloret Natura programme and the municipal sports service, has the following goals:
To raise awareness of Nordic walking among the population, emphasising its health benefits and how it enables walkers to discover the wonderful natural setting.
To add a new outdoor activity to the active tourism and nature tourism offer, enabling users to discover the trails and coastal paths of the Costa Brava.
To make Lloret a leading Nordic walking destination for enthusiasts from all over Europe.

Lloret de Mar is an ideal destination for active holidays that combine relaxation with fitness. The best way to breathe the essence of Lloret de Mar is by enjoying the many foot trails that stretch along the coast or wind their way into forests, revealing all the secrets of the Mediterranean fauna and flora to visitors, along with our cultural heritage.

The work carried out by Lloret Turisme in signposting and restoring certain paths means that the town now boasts a well structured and well signposted network of hiking trails throughout the area.

Bicycle Touring in Catalonia

Catalonia, and especially the Costa Brava and Costa Barcelona - Maresme, are privileged sites for the practice of bicycle touring, which involves cycling without competitive spirit, using the bicycle as a mean of physical exercise, fun, transportation or tourism.

Great weather, beautiful landscapes, mountain, beach, and a comprehensive network of routes make Catalonia an ideal place for cycling.

Vies Braves - Sea Swimming Lanes

Vies Braves is an open water public network of marine itineraries designed for sports, leisure and teaching activities.

Signs and buoys provide a safe way of enjoying open waters and exploring the shoreline from the sea.

Vies Braves allow you to combine activities such as swimming and snorkelling with trekking or running, as most of the routes run parallel to the existing coastal paths all along the shore, therefore affording the landscape’s discovery from different perspectives.

Vies Braves is a public-private initiative, unique in the world, designed to foster landscape as a touristic destiny for open water swimming and snorkelling.
