Tossa Lighthouse, still active, is also home to the Interpretation Center of the Lighthouses of the Mediterranean.

Tossa Municipal Museum

It was opened to the public on the 1st September 1935 and it can be considered as the first Modern Art Museum in Spain. It compiles an important collection of modern art, with works of an historical Catalan art found from the 19th century and beginning of the 20th, and works of the national and international artists who frequented Tossa during the thirties. The Blue Violinist, by Marc Chagall, is one of the most important works of this section.
The archaeological section demonstrates the presence of man in our township from the Paleolithical period until the later Middle Ages. It is of particular interest the mosaic of the Roman Villa’s hall (end of the 4th century, beginning of the 5th AD).
