COSTA BARCELONA MUSIC FESTIVAL
May comes to Calella full of joy and vitality. The days are longer and we love enjoying the good weather by taking a walk or going out for a vermouth in the sun. In the spring, Calella becomes a continuous stage with activities and proposals for all tastes, and for music lovers, here comes the event of the season: the International Choir and Orquestra Festival.
During the festival there are choral groups from all over the world. The Costa Barcelona Music Festival concerts enrich the city's spring ambience with new musical accents and melodies that bring us closer to the cultural diversity of the different countries that visit us.
Renaissance
How were we, the Calellenses five centuries ago? We were probably not that numerous, nor as cosmopolitan. But surely our ancestors were as optimistic, active and close like us. Otherwise, they would not have been able to develop the transatlantic trade that turned our city into what we are currently.
When the Renaissance Fair is on, the town centre is transformed into a series of decorated spaces where all kinds of family activities are held. A large craft market is accompanied by shows, street performances, music, food tastings and kids’ activities.
